Daily Dirt – 5/22/14

Today’s Daily Dirt…

• I have heard that former Florida Atlantic assistant Tim Kaine is in the mix for a spot at Georgia Southern. Kaine was a part of Mike Jarvis’ staff at FAU since 2008 and was not retained when Michael Curry took over earlier this spring. Interesting Kaine fact…he is the godson of Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

• Last night, I posted the newly created Director of Player Development job at Temple (http://hoopdirt.com/job/69c6113a/director-of-player-developm…). I have heard from a great source that former Temple great Rick Brunson is involved here. After graduating from Temple in 1995, Brunson kicked around the NBA until 2006. He has also been an assistant for the Nuggets, Bulls, and Bobcats. It sounds like a current assistant could take the player development job, and Brunson would step in as an assistant.

• I have heard that a CUNY job may have opened last night. Working on confirmation, but where there’s smoke there’s fire. I will have more once it is confirmed.
