Some DI DIRT as we slide in to the Memorial Day weekend…
- I have heard that former Pitt assistant Sam Ferry will join the staff at Cleveland State. Last season was his first on Kevin Stallings staff at Pitt after spending six seasons as an assistant at Monmouth. He had also worked in an administrative role for Stallings at Vanderbilt.
- It sounds like Columbia Director of Basketball Operations Jonathan Safir is headed to the University of San Francisco, where he will reunite with head coach Kyle Smith. Safir joined the Columbia staff back in 2015 when Smith was the head coach there. I have heard that Safir will assume DBO duties for the Dons.
- I can confirm that VMI will hire Bridgewater College (VA) associate head coach Steven Enright as an assistant coach. Before joining the Bridgewater staff three seasons ago, Enright served as the assistant director of basketball operations for Dan Hurley at URI.
