On the run today – here are two quick things that I’ve heard…

• Tennessee Chattanooga assistant Jesse Bopp is involved with a spot on Paul Weir’s staff at New Mexico State. Last season was his first at UTC, he had previously been the DBO at VCU, and the head coach at Vermont Academy. Sounds like this one should be wrapped up shortly.

• Crazy situation at DII Simon Fraser…I can confirm that the position was accepted by a DII assistant (in the same league as SFU). The candidate then decided that it was not the right time for him to make a move and returned to his previous position. I have now heard that current SFU assistant Steve Hanson will be named as the head coach.  Last season was his first at SFU, he has also been a HS coach in Canada.
