I have heard that Princeton assistant Jonathan Jones is on the move and will land on the staff at American. Jones had been at Princeton since 2018 – the Tigers have gone 52-30 (29-13 Ivy) during that time. The NJ native was a D3Hoops.com First Team All-American following his senior season at Kean, and also runner-up for National Player of the Year. An official announcement is expected by the end of the week.

It sounds like new Maine head coach Chris Markwood has made two additions to his staff. I have heard that he has hired UNH’s Jordan Bronner as an assistant, and Hargrave assistant Tommy Freeman as the DBO. Bronner had been on the staff of his alma mater for the past three seasons. Freeman, who played at Ohio and worked as a GA there, had been at Hargrave for the past four years.

New Fairleigh Dickinson head coach Tobin Anderson will hire Ray Savage as the Director of Basketball Operations, and retain Joe Popovich as the Video Coordinator. Savage was an assistant at Georgia Highlands College last season, and was the assistant DBO at Fordham before that. Popovich was an assistant at D3 Centenary University (NJ) before joining the FDU staff prior to last season.

I have heard that North Alabama will elevate Director of Player Development Carter Heston to assistant coach. Last season was his first at UNA – he had previously worked as an assistant at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Heston will replace Tom Berryman who took a HS job earlier this spring.

According to the Standard-Examiner, Weber State will add Dan Russell as an assistant. Russell had been an assistant at Montana State for the past three seasons, and was the head coach at Casper College before that (145-52 – .736)
