Here are a few things that I heard while out and about last night…

I can confirm through a great source that VCU DBO Kyle Getter is headed to Radford. He will join the staff of new RU head coach Mike Jones (a former VCU assistant) as a full-time assistant. Getter was at VCU for two seasons, and also worked at Liberty, Marshall, Dayton, and Wright State.

Maryland assistant Scott Spinelli is no longer involved in the search at Boston University. He is currently focused on getting the summer recruiting period off to a strong start at Maryland. I keep hearing that LIU’s Jim Ferry and interim head coach Brian Daly are the front runners. BC associate head coach Joe Jones and former BC head coach Al Skinner are also in the mix.

Drake staffer Mark Owens has left to accept the job at Mingus Union HS (AZ). Owens was the video coordinator in 2009-10, and the administrative assistant last season. He also spent time as an assistant at Scottsdale CC.
