A few things that I’ve heard…

It sounds like the search at D2 Wheeling University (WVa) is now down to three or four. I mentioned former Niagara head coach Pat Beilein here last Friday (DAILY DIRT – 6/19), and it sounds like he is now one of the finalists. Another name that I keep hearing here is Central Missouri assistant Chris Richardson. He is a West Virginia native who has been at CMU for the past seven seasons. This one could be wrapped up by the end of the week.

The Citadel associate head coach Daniel Willis will become the new head coach at Hickory HS (NC) – his alma mater. Willis had been at The Citadel for the past five seasons, and has also worked at VMI, Tusculum, and Western Carolina.

D2 Winona State will add Jonah Bradley to the staff as an assistant coach. He has most recently served as the head coach at Southeast HS in Lincoln NE. Bradley has also been the head coach Lexington HS (NE), and played collegiately at Nebraska Wesleyan.

NAIA Rocky Mountain College (MT) assistant Troy Trudnowski has become the new head basketball coach at Laurel HS (MT). The Montana native had also served as the JV basketball head coach at Rocky Mountain.
