Daily Dirt – 6/27/17

Recovering from Billy Joel last night. It was actually a good show. Average age in Fenway was 80, but still pretty cool. Here are a few things to end the week…

• Word on the street is that New Mexico assistant Craig Snow is the leader for New Mexico Highlands. Snow has been at New Mexico for four seasons, and was a HS coach in NM before that. The 2001 Evansville grad scored over 1,500 points in his career and played overseas after graduation. Look for an official announcement here shortly.

• University of New Orleans head coach Mark Slessinger will sign a six-year contract extension. It will pay him a base salary of $114,000 per season with a ton of bonuses built in which could push it closer to $130,000. The contract has to be approved by the Louisiana Board of Supervisors who meet today.

• I can confirm that the Lyndon State College (VT) job is open. Apparently they are in the process making it a full time position. Joe Krupinski had been the head coach there for the past six seasons where he compiled a 61-90 record. I have heard that interviews have already started.

• Sounds like DIII Nichols College (MA) has made a hire. Look for an announcement next week.
