Daily Dirt – 6/6/13

Some things that I’ve heard over the past few days…

• I have heard that Georgetown will add two new members to their staff over the next few days. Word on the street is that former Northwestern assistant Tavares Hardy will become an assistant coach, and George Washington assistant Kevin Sutton will join the staff as the DBO.

• Nebraska head coach Tim Miles is still searching for an assistant. I have heard recently that Wright State assistant Chris Moore and Oakland assistant Saddi Washington have both interviewed. It seems like an announcement will be made here shortly.

• I have heard that Virginia Tech DBO Andy Moore will be elevated to assistant coach. Moore joined the Tech staff last spring and has also been an assistant at Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and Bowling Green.

• Colby College (ME) assistant Nelson Albino will be departing to accept a similar position at NYU. Albino had been at Colby since 2011 and was the DBO at NJIT before that.

• It sounds like South Plains College assistant Justin Brown has left for College Of Eastern Utah. Brown is a former player at South Plains where he helped to lead them to conference championships as a player and as a coach. He was also part of the staff that won the NJCAA DI National Championship in 2012 (36-0).
