Some DIRT to wrap up the week…

• Canisius assistant Eddie Shannon is on the move and will be headed back to Chattanooga, where he will be named as an assistant coach. He had previously served on the Mocs staff from 2015-17 under former head coach Matt McCall. Shannon, a former standout at Florida, had been at Canisius for the past two seasons. He replaces Walter Offutt who became an assistant at Toledo.

• Arkansas Little Rock video coordinator Dee Frazier has accepted an assistant position at NJCAA Andrew College (GA). Frazier spent two seasons on Darrell Walker’s staff at Clark Atlanta before following him to Little Rock last spring.

• DII Clarion University (PA) has wrapped up their search. I have heard from multiple sources that Nova Southeastern assistant Jordan Fee (a PA native) turned the job down. It sounds like the position has now been offered to a current DIII head coach, with an announcement expected shortly.

• I can confirm that Garvin McAlister will be named as an assistant on Scott Faucher’s new staff at DII Assumption College. McAlister has also served an assistant at Connecticut College and Nichols College.

• A couple of College of Southern Idaho assistants on the move…Lester Stewart is headed to Casper College (WY), and Aaron Anderson will move on to Indian Hills CC (IA). They had both previously served under former head coach Jared Phay who left CSI earlier this spring for a spot at Idaho State.
