July 1st already…wow! Getting ready to hit the road, fired up to see some kids play. Here are a few things that I’ve heard…

• I can confirm that Northern Colorado has hired Taylor Green as their DBO. Green spent this past season as an assistant at Emporia State. He has also been an HS and AAU coach in Texas.

• In my “Central Connecticut Dirt” this weekend (http://www.hoopdirt.com/blog/dfe6d2a3/central-connecticut-di…), I mentioned that Jamaal Wagner was the last man standing on Howie Dickenman’s staff. I have now heard from two separate sources that he is out as well – the term that was used was that he is “pursuing other opportunities outside of basketball.” More on this as I hear it.

• Rumors are swirling that new Maine head coach Bob Walsh may hire Antone Gray as an assistant. He was most recently the head coach at Junita Sanchez HS (RI), and played collegiately for Walsh at RIC. We’ll keep an eye on this one.

• Speaking of RIC / Bob Walsh… I can confirm that former Rhode Island College assistant Anthony Leonelli has become the head coach at Green Mountain College (VT). Leonelli had been on Bon Walsh’s staff at RIC for the past two seasons. He has also worked at WPI and Wentworth. Look for the official announcement shortly.
