• Three separate sources have told me that Navarro College (TX) head coach Johnny Estelle has resigned and will become an assistant at Houston. In Estelle’s five seasons at Navarro, he has compiled a 126-48 record. The official announcement is expected by the end of the week.
• I have heard from two people with in the past hour that former UNC Asheville assistant Kevin Easley will become the DBO at UNC Wilmington. Last season was his first at UNCA. He has also worked at UNC Greensboro and High Point.
• I have heard that new College of Southern Idaho basketball coach Jeremy Cox will retain current assistant Colby Blaine. Blaine has been on staff for the past four seasons. Cox is still in the process of hiring another assistant.
• I can confirm that Emonte Hill has been named as the head coach at Frederick Community College (MD). He has spent the past ten seasons as an assistant at Hood College (MD). He played at FCC under former head coach Dave Miller, who resigned earlier this spring after 20 seasons as the head coach.
