Daily Dirt – 7/15/13

Some “dirt” to start off the week…

• I have heard that Former Charlotte GA Bryce Crawford has been hired as the player development and video operations coordinator at the University of Texas. Before joining the Charlotte staff, he was a manager at Ohio State.

• Word on the street is that Nevada DBO Chad Bell is involved with an assistant spot at Southern Utah. Bell played at Nevada and spent time playing professionally after graduation. He has also served in an administrative role at Wyoming.

• Imperial Valley College (CA) has named Andrew Robinson as the new men’s basketball coach. He served the last few years as the head women’s coach at the school. He replaces Tyson Aye who departed to become the head coach at Allan Hancock College (CA) earlier in the spring.

• Snead State has promoted assistant coach Drew Wilson to the position of associate head coach and hired Jeremiah Patterson and Brian Trippe as assistant coaches. Patterson was most recently a HS coach in Alabama, and Trippe was the video coordinator at Troy.

• I can confirm that Robert Amis has been named as an assistant at Chipola College (FL). Amis has spent the past two seasons as a GA at Marshall and was an assistant at Trinity Valley CC (TX) before that.
