It’s quiet now that the first July recruiting period is over. Here are a few things that I heard over the weekend….

Word on the street is that new Texas A&M head coach Billy Kennedy will hire Bryan HS (TX) head coach John Reese as an assistant. Sounds like it won’t be made official until after the second recruiting period at the end of this month. Reese is the father of 2012 prospect J-Mychal Reese (ranked #28 by ESPNU).

I’ve heard that former Ohio U. manager Paul O’Connor has assumed the graduate assistant role at Providence.

Concordia College (MN) has hired Freddy Coleman as an assistant. He is a former player at North Dakota State. He will replace Gameli Ahelegbe who recently took a job as an assistant at North Dakota.

Sounds like Franklin Pierce University will hire Casey Cosgrove as an assistant. He played at Adelphi, and is the son of Trinity College (CT) head coach Jamie Cosgrove.
