On vacation this week – headed from the golf course yesterday to the beach today. Here are a few things that I’ve heard…
I have heard that Austin Peay will add Stephen Peoples as their Director of Men’s Basketball Operations. He will replace Carl Little who was promoted to assistant coach earlier this week. Peoples had most recently been an assistant at D2 Columbus State and was a HS coach in Florida before that. An official announcement is expected shortly.
Multiple sources have told me that NJCAA D1 Colby CC (KS) is expected to hire Jordan Sanford as their new head basketball coach. Sanford has been the head coach at NJCAA D2 Labette CC (KS) since 2015. He would replace Rusty Elmore who took over at Garden City CC (KS) at the end of June.
NJCAA D1 Indian River State College (FL) assistant coach Mike Randle is on the move and has become an assistant at NJCAA D1 Indian Hills CC (IA). Last year was Randle’s first at IRSC following a stint as an assistant at Kilgore College (TX).
Roy Green has been hired as an assistant at NAIA Life Pacific University (CA). The veteran coach had spent the past sixteen seasons at GSAC for Hope International (CA). Green has also had stops at the college level at Cal Poly Pomona (1994-99), Mt. SAC (1999-00), Citrus College (2000-01), University of La Verne (2001-02, 03-06) and LA City College (2002-03).
