After being out on the road recruiting, and a LONG week of camp, I finally have a little time to get caught up with some of the things that I’ve heard – here’s what I’ve got…

• It sounds like Arizona State will hire Winston-Salem State assistant Tim Wells to an administrative role (most likely director of player development). Wells played at NC State for current ASU head coach Herb Sendek. He had been on the WSSU staff for the past five seasons.

• I have heard that Seton Hall DBO Stephen Sauers is headed to UC Riverside as an assistant. Sauers and UC Riverside interim head coach Dennis Cutts were teammates at Albany where they played for Sauers’ dad Dick. The younger Sauers has also worked at Iona and Marist and spent time as a staffer with the Hoop Group.

• From a good source…it sounds like Lehigh video coordinator Dutch Gaitley is departing for a position with the San Antonio Spurs. Before joining the Lehigh staff last season, Gaitley was a GA at Temple.

• I have heard that Vassar College will elevate assistant B.J. Dunne to interim head coach for the 2103-14 season. He will replace Del Harris who departed this past spring. Last season was Dunne’s first on the Vassar staff. He has also been an assistant at Emerson and Babson. I have also heard that Oswego State assistant Seth Eisner will become an assistant on Dunne’s staff. He has spent the past two seasons at Oswego.
