Today’s “dirt”…
• South Alabama assistant Ronald Nored will be joining his former head coach Brad Stevens with the Celtics. Nored played for Stevens at Butler from 2008-2012. He spent last season as a HS coach before joining Matthew Graves staff at USA this past spring.
• I have heard from multiple sources that former Holy Cross head coach Sean Kearney is involved with the DBO spot at Colorado. He has been doing some TV stuff since being released at Holy Cross in 2010. Kearney was a longtime assistant to Mike Brey at Notre Dame before becoming the head coach at HC.
• I can confirm that Kyle Steinway has been hired as an assistant at Sacred Heart. He was most recently the DBO at Hofstra and has also worked at Providence, Newberry (SC), and Stonehill. The official announcement is expected shortly.
• Matt Stanley has been named as the interim head coach at Foothill College (CA). He had spent the past two seasons as the head coach at Canada College (CA) – he was the associate head coach at Foothill before that.
• Northern Oklahoma College Enid assistant Ryan Mahoney has departed to accept a similar position at Allen Community College (KS). He had been an assistant at NOC Enid for the past three seasons.
