• I have heard from a great source that Dowling (NY) head coach Steve Hayn is the leader for the Merchant Marine job. Hayn has been at Dowling for the past eight seasons (93-134). He has also been the head coach at Fredonia State (1999-01), and Stevens (2001-2006). Merchant Marine is looking to replace interim head coach David Muchnick who became the head coach at Maine Maritime two weeks ago.
• The “hot” name at Williams right now is Bucknell associate head coach Dane Fischer. Fischer served as an assistant at Williams under current Bucknell head coach Dave Paulsen and has also served as an assistant at Rider. Some other quality names floating around – will have more next week.
• I have heard that Boston University video coordinator Fran Brown will become an assistant at Clarkson. He has also served as a GA and student manager for the Terriers.
• Josh Delander has departed Kilgore College as an assistant and has accepted a new position. He had been at Kilgore for the past two seasons. We hope to have the job posting for Kilgore’s second assistant spot soon.
• Brendan Walker has become the full-time assistant at Gulf Coast State College. Walker had been an assistant at Lake Land College (IL) for the past two years, and was a GA at Mercer before that. He will be replaced at Lake Land by Lincoln College (IL) assistant Tyrone Johnson.
