Some things that I’ve heard as July winds down…

• I have heard from a great source that Jarvis Christian College (TX) head coach Chevis Thompson has departed, and will become an assistant at Frank Phillips College (TX). Thompson served as the head coach at JCC since 2014, and has also been the head coach at The University of the Southwest.

  Urbana University (OH) assistant Michael Hunter is on the move and will land at Shawnee State (OH). Hunter had worked at Urbana for the past two seasons and has had stops at Goshen College (IN) and Heidelberg University (OH).

  Zach Carpenter will become an assistant at Indian Hills CC (IA). He had spent the past five seasons as an assistant coach at John A. Logan College (IL). Carpenter also spent two seasons as the director of basketball operations at Tennessee Tech (2006-08).

  Delaware Valley University head coach Mark Seidenburg has added Chris Potash to his staff as an assistant. Potash was most recently the associate head coach at Bryn Athyn College (PA), and also served five seasons as the head coach at Penn State Abington,
