Monday’s "dirt" as we begin the last full week of the summer…
• I have heard that two candidates for the Richland JC job (TX) are former University of North Texas assistant Bill Foy and former Baylor assistant Mark Morefield. Foy had been at North Texas for the past six seasons, and won a NJCAA National Championship Paris (JC) before that. Morefield was an assistant at Baylor (2003-2011), and served in various roles at Valparaiso from 1996 until 2003. No word yet on any other candidates.
• I have heard from a great source that Toledo DBO Brad Konerman is leaving his position to take a job in the corporate world in Cincinnati. He has been the DBO at Toledo for the past four seasons. Prior to that, he was a manager, and later program assistant at Xavier.
• It sounds like Steve Grabowski is the new Director of Basketball Operations at the University of North Dakota. Grabowski spent the previous 11 seasons as a coach and player at Minot State University. He was associated with the North Dakota AAU program, serving as the head coach for the ECI West AAU team from 2006 to 2010.
• Sean Sweeney has been hired as an assistant at Francis Marion (SC). He was the DBO at Charleston Southern during the 2010-11season and spent last year as an assistant at North Charleston HS.
