Hanging out on the Coast of Maine for the next few weeks. Will be working hard to get stuff up from here between trips to the pool and the beach. Here are a few things that I’ve heard while avoiding icebergs in the frigid Maine waters…
- I have heard that Ira Poole will become the Director of Basketball Operations at Appalachian State. He had spent the past two years as a Graduate Assistant under Rick Barnes at Tennessee. Before that, he served s a manager at Texas under Barnes. He will replace Mark Polsgrove who became an assistant at Lees-McRae back on July 24th.
- Gabe Palmquist-Clark has become an assistant at Vincennes University (IN). He spent last season as an assistant at Kilgore College (TX), and has also worked at Holy Names University (CA).

LSU Alexandria Associate Head Coach Casey Apetrei will become an assistant on Rian Stubbs new staff at Lamar CC (CO). Apetrei has been at LSUA for the past seasons where the Generals have gone 86-9 during time there. He has also served as an assistant at Frank Phillips College (TX).
- Glen Mayo is joining the USC Salkehatchie basketball staff as an assistant coach. He has most recently served as the director of scouting for Lineage of Champions. Mayo is a former Student Assistant at both Northwest Florida State and Chipola College, and a former assistant coach at Alabama Southern

I have heard that Rhode Island College head coach Mike Byrnes will add Daniel Jones to his staff. Jones has spent the past two years as an assistant at Medaille College (NY). He has also been a manager and graduate manager at Hofstra.
- NAIA Marygrove College (MI) announced last week that they will be shutting down all undergraduate programs, including athletics. Not only are head coach Craig Covington and his staff now out of jobs, there are bunch of kids looking for schools for this season. Reach out to Marygrove staff if you still need bodies. They are working hard to place their guys.
