Daily Dirt – 9/11/13

Today’s “dirt”…

• LSU-Alexandria has hired Southeast Louisiana associate head coach Larry Cordaro as the programs first-ever basketball coach. The Louisiana native had spent the past five seasons at Southeast, and was an assistant at UT Arlington before that. LSUA will begin play in 2014-15.

• I have heard from two separate sources that Rex Parker has been hired in an administrative role at Indiana State. He had spent the past two seasons as an assistant at Iowa Central and was a GA at Minnesota State University Moorhead before that.

• New St. Thomas Aquinas (NY) head coach Tobin Anderson has completed his staff. He has hired Matt Capell, John Dwinell, and Tim Coyne. Capell was most recently and assistant at Mercyhurst where he spent the past seven seasons. Dwinell spent 21 seasons as a head coach at Concordia (NY) and SUNY Maritime. Coyne played and coached in Ireland last season.
