Some things to kick off the week…

• I have heard that Boston University head coach Joe Jones has promoted Jimmie Oakman to Director of Basketball Operations.  Oakman served last season as a special assistant / video coordinator for the Terriers.  He also spent three seasons as an assistant at DIII Daniel Webster College (NH)

• I can confirm that Jamie Morrison is no longer the head coach at DIII Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.  In his seven years at the school, Morrison compiled a 73-135 record.  Before coming to MCLA in 2007, he spent four seasons as the head coach at Haskell Indian Nations University (KS).  Assistant coach Tony Skiffington will serve as the interim head coach, with a search to take place following the season.

• It sounds like Shawn Thornton has been named as an assistant at DII East Stroudsburg (PA).  Thornton had spent twenty-seven seasons at Stroudsburg HS before resigning following the 2013-14 season.  He finished his tenure with over 300 wins at the school.

• I have heard that Paul King will be named as an assistant at Worcester State College (MA).  King has most recently been coaching with the Southern New England Basketball Club Shockers (AAU).
