A couple of things that I’ve heard tonight….

Doane College head coach Ian Brown is out. There are conflicting reports as to whether he resigned, or was fired, but I can definitely confirm that he is no longer the head coach at Doane. He has spent the past 10 seasons as the head coach at his alma mater.

**UPDATE** After blogging about about the situation at Doane, I was able to track down the official statement from AD Greg Heier. Brown did in fact resign. I have heard that Itawamba CC (MS) has scheduled a press conference for tomorrow to announce their new head coach. According to my source, Tupelo HS (MS) head coach Grant Pate is expected to be the choice. He led his squad to a 26-9 record this past season. More to come after the 1:30pm announcement.
