DDII…a few VERY quick updates…
• I mentioned Jay Larranaga as a candidate at George Mason a few days ago. Sounds like he was high on their radar, but he has decided to remain in the NBA.
• Will Wade out as a candidate at Charlotte – a few different ways to read this one. As I said yesterday, crazy behind the scenes stuff here. Duke’s Jeff Capel gaining some steam here…
• Yesterday I mentioned “an assistant from BYU, and an NBA assistant have already been interviewed” at Utah Valley. I am hearing the BYU assistant is Mark Pope, and the NBA assistant is Mark Madsen from the Lakers. From what I hear, it’s important for UVU to hire someone who is an LDS member.
• A name that has been mentioned a few times at Fordham is Norfolk State head coach Robert Jones. The NY native has had two pretty good years since taking over for Anthony Evans at NSU. There are a TON of other names here though…
