Thanks for all of the text’s today. The new “dirt” hotline (208 495-4129) has been blowing up! My wife already thinks I’m on the phone too much – she NOT happy about this! A few more things that I’ve heard today…

• I can confirm that Texas “special assistant” Brian Lentz has departed and will become an assistant Appalachian State. Lentz has been on the Texas staff for the past four seasons and was an assistant at Lenoir-Rhyne before that.

• I have heard that James Madison DBO Rob Summers is involved with the open head coach spot at Urbana University (OH). Summers, a Gahanna, Ohio native (less than an hour from Urbana), just wrapped-up his first season at JMU. He was an assistant at Glenville State before that. The 7-footer played at Penn State before finishing his career for John Beilein at West Virginia.

• Some “dirt” from UNCW…sounds like Minnesota staffer Casey Stanley could become an assistant to new head coach Kevin Keatts. Stanley has been a staffer for Richard Pitino at both FIU and Minnesota. He also spent time with Pitino the Elder (and Keatts) and a video guy at Louisville. Also, I had mentioned last week that word on the street was that Hoop Group staffer Chad Myers was also headed to UNCW. Looks like he’s now on his way to Elev8 basketball in Florida. Sounds like Keatts’ staff will be formally introduced in a week or so.
