Busy day – here’s round 2 of the "Daily Dirt"…
• I’ve got this one confirmed by a top-notch source…Jeremy Friel is no longer an assistant at Albany. Friel had been on Will Brown’s staff for the past seven years. It sounds like there are some former players / staffers in the mix already for this one.
• It sounds like Madison Central (MS) HS head coach Rahim Lockhart will become the head coach at Jones County JC (MS). The former Ole Miss standout has been coaching HS basketball in Mississippi for a number of years. JCJC won this year’s NJCAA National Championship – former head coach Jay Ladner took the Southeast Louisiana job last month.
• I have heard that Virginia Wesleyan assistant Tim Sparks will become the head coach at Princess Anne (VA) HS. He had been on the VWU staff for two seasons and also worked at Louisburg College (NC) and Castleton State (VT).
