Round II…

• I mentioned last month that there would be some shake-up to Murray Bartow’s staff at East Tennessee State. I can now confirm what the changes are…assistant coaches Mike Boyd and Scott Wagers are both out. Boyd is retiring while Wagers will become an assistant at Lamar.

• I have heard that former South Carolina assistant Mike Boynton is in the mix for a spot on the Stephen F. Austin staff. He spent four seasons with Darrin Horn at USC and has also worked at Wofford and Coastal Carolina.

• Earlier this week I mentioned the five finalists at Tennessee Chattanooga. It now sounds like the list is down to three: Alabama assistant John Brannen, VCU assistant Will Wade and former Georgia and Western Kentucky head coach Dennis Felton. • T.J. Maines has resigned as the head coach at Thomas College (ME) and will become the head coach at Cony (ME) HS. He was 89-88 in his seven seasons at TC.

• I can confirm that Central Wyoming has hired Pat Rafferty as the new head coach. He was most recently the DBO at University of Texas-Arlington. He edged out interim head coach Shelby Lindley for the job.
