Some quick hitters for the end of the night…
• I have heard that Kansas State will elevate Drew Speraw, current video coordinator, to the DOB spot to replace Brad Korn who went to Missouri State. Speraw was a staffer at Iowa before joining the K-State staff prior to last season.
• I can confirm that Brock Erickson has resigned as the head coach at the State College of Florida. He recently completed his first season at SCF. Word on the street is that he’s going to become as assistant at a school in the MAAC.
• I mentioned in my blog earlier today that South Plains College assistant Justin Brown has left for the College of Eastern Utah. I have now heard that his replacement at South Plains will be Nate Meyer. He served as the DBO at Drake last season and was also a GA there.
• On 5/29 I mentioned to keep an eye on the situation at Mid-Continent University (KY). I can now confirm that Winston Bennett is out as the head coach there. The former Kentucky standout had been at the helm for the past six seasons. He has also served as an assistant at Kentucky and with the Boston Celtics, and spent time as the head coach at Kentucky State.
