Some things that I’ve heard from the JUCO level…

• I have heard from multiple sources that Rock Valley College (IL) brought five guys to campus: Matt Bowen (former head coach Minnesota Duluth), Rob Buss (former head coach Kishwaukee College), Rusty Elmore (assistant coach Moberly Area CC), Preston Ingram (assistant coach Angelo State), and Tim Sandquist (assistant coach Northwest Kansas Tech). It sounds like Elmore is the leader here, and may have been offered the job yesterday. An announcement will be made here by the end of the week.

• I have heard that long-time Phoenix College (AZ) head coach Matt Gordon has resigned. Among his many accomplishments at PC were capturing the 2014 NJCAA DII National Championship and being named as the 2014 NABC Junior College Coach of the Year. Gordon, a seven-time NJCAA District I Coach of the Year, also led his teams to three other NJCAA DII Final Fours. An official announcement is expected shortly.
