A few more things that I’ve heard today….

My sources tell me that Mississippi assistant Owen Miller is leaving the staff for a high school job. The official announcement won’t be made until Monday, but Miller is headed to Gulfport HS – his Alma Mater. Miller has been an assistant coach at Ole Miss since 2006. He has also worked at UTSA and Colorado State.

I’ve heard that Wisconsin-Milwaukee head coach Rob Jeter is on campus today at Miami. New Miami AD Shawn Eichorst was a Deputy AD at Wisconsin – Jeter is a Bo Ryan guy – you do the math on this one….

Sounds like ESPN recruiting analyst Marty Richter is involved with a spot at Florida Gulf Coast. Before his ESPN gig, Richter was an assistant at Simpson, Chipola, and Bowling Green.

I mentioned in my earlier blog that Sacramento State assistant Brady Bergeson was involved with the Western Oregon job. I just heard from one of my troops on the ground that he has in fact been offered the job.

A few people have mentioned that Virginia Tech assistant Adrian Autry is in talks to join Archie Miller’s staff at Dayton. We’ll keep an eye on this one.

Interviews have been completed at three different Maryland JUCO’s – Howard, Montgomery-Takoma Park, and Montgomery-Rockville. The new head coaches are all expected to be announced with-in the next week or so.
