Some more things that I’ve heard today….

New Stetson head coach head coach Casey Alexander is in the process of hiring his staff. Belmont assistant Roger Idstrom will be added as an assistant. He has been at Belmont with Alexander for the past 11 seasons. Also, former Belmont player Steve Drabyn will be joining the staff as well. He has been an assistant coach at Carmel (IN) HS for the past two seasons. He has also been an assistant at Lees-McRae (NC) College and the University of the South.

Sounds like Jim Les is the choice at UC-Davis. He was released at Bradley this spring after spending 9 seasons at the helm of his Alma Mater (154-140). Les’s son Tyler is a freshman guard at UC-Davis. Les replaces Gary Stewart who went 88-148 in 8 seasons at UCD.

The search at Pratt CC is in full swing. The names that I’ve heard so far that are involved are former Southern Indiana head coach Rick Herdes, Neosho County CC Head coach Jeremy Coombs (a former Pratt assistant), Coffeyville assistant Kyle Campbell, and Nolan Richardson III. The search should be wrapped up sometime with- in the next few days.

I’ve heard that Dave Donnelly is out as the head coach at Weatherford College (TX). Early names being mentioned as his replacement are Brandon Curran (Dallas Baptist Assistant), Chad Kline (Coastal Bend Assistant and former Frank Phillips head coach), and Rodney McConnell (former Ranger College Head coach and former Montana assistant).
