Catching-up on a few things today before what will be a crazy week…

Search firm update: I can confirm that Collegiate Sports Associates has the Buffalo search and DHR/Glen Sugiyama has the UNH search.

Alabama assistant Brian Hodgson’s name is hot at both Buffalo and Arkansas State. Hodgson has been at Alabama for the past four seasons, coming with Nate Oats from Buffalo back in 2019. The Western NY native was with Oats at UB from 2015-19.

Villanova associate head coach George Halcovage continues to be mentioned as the leader at Bucknell. Halcovage has been at Nova since 2009 in various roles, and was promoted to associate head coach in 2021. Stay tuned this one in the early part of next week.

I’ve heard Sam Houston State head coach Jason Hooten’s name a lot (I mean a lot) over the past 24-hours at New Mexico State. The veteran head coach has gone 261-168 (.608) in 13-seasons at SHSU, including a 26-7 (14-4 WAC) record so far this year. The Bearkats are still playing in the NIT, and travel to North Texas today.

I’ve heard a Mid-Atlantic D2 will open this week. Stay tuned…

Early odds for next week:
