HoopDirt Daily News – 12/5/17

HoopDirt.com’s Daily News from the college basketball coaching world…

  • According to the Stillwater News Press, Oklahoma State University acquired the signed contract of men’s basketball coach Mike Boynton yesterday. The deal is worth about $1 million per season with added bonuses based on performance. A PDF of the complete signed deal can be found HERE.

  • Oakland head coach Greg Kampe was asked on Twitter if he would take LiAngelo Ball. His response…”I’d take him in a minute.” It’s actually a pretty interesting question (and answer). If you are a college coach, do you take Cooper Ball and all of the stuff that comes with him?

  • Harding University (AR) head basketball coach Jeff Morgan will assume the role of AD in June of 2018 replacing the retiring Greg Harnden. Morgan, who is in his 25th season (429-290) at the school, will pull double-duty and remain the basketball coach as well.
