Dakota Wesleyan’s Wilber returns from leave

Dakota Wesleyan University head men’s basketball coach Matt Wilber has returned from a leave of absence, according to a report from the Mitchell Republic.

Wilbur had been on an unspecified leave since early October. According to the report, Mitchell will coach the Tigers this weekend in the NAIA Basketball Classic. DWU will face Valley City State on Saturday, and Presentation on Sunday.

Wilber has been the head coach at Dakota Wesleyan for the past seven seasons. During his tenure, he has compiled a 165-70 record, including a 23-9 mark last season.

Newly hired assistant Tyler Vaughan had served as the acting head coach while Wilber was on leave.
