Dan Beré Joins Wright State Men’s Basketball Staff

Wright State men’s basketball head coach Scott Nagy announced Tuesday the addition of Dan Beré as an assistant coach for the Raiders.
 
“Dan is a great fit for our program, he is familiar with how we operate and brings plenty of ties to the Midwest,” Nagy said. “He has high character and will be a great addition to our culture both on and off the floor. We are proud to have him join the Raider Family.”
 
Beré comes to Wright State after spending the last seven seasons at Jacksonville University, previously also spending eight seasons at now-Horizon League foe Purdue Fort Wayne and a season at Butler. At both Jacksonville and Fort Wayne, he primarily worked with the guards, while he served as an analyst at Butler. Beré has worked with five guards who have earned all-league honors, including Devin Harris, J.R. Holder and J.D. Notae at Jacksonville.
 
As a student at Indiana, Beré spent four years as a manager for the Hoosiers under current Detroit Mercy head coach Mike Davis. Bere’ earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Marketing and Management from Indiana in 2005 and a master’s degree in Liberal Studies in 2009. He and his wife, Peachy, have two daughters and one son: Haley, Maggie and Jake.
