Elms College assistant men’s basketball coach Todd Dean has been named the interim men’s basketball head coach.

Dean has spent the last 10 years as an assistant under departing 11-year head coach Ed Silva. Dean arrived for the 2002-03 season as a volunteer assistant and in 2003-04 was promoted to the top assistant position. Since then he has helped direct the men’s basketball program to nine winning seasons including a stretch of seven consecutive seasons that saw the Blazers stake 20 or more wins between 2004-05 and 2010-11.
