The next coach at Boston College may be announced as early as today. Our sources are telling us that Cornell Head Coach Steve Donahue will be the choice here. He has apparently beaten out Northeastern Head Coach Bill Coen and Fairfield Head Coach Ed Cooley. BC AD Gene DeFilippo is leaving for the Frozen Four on Thursday, so we expect the announcement to be made before he goes.

Also, this is not terrible news for Coen and Cooley. Coen appears to be the leader for the job at Siena and Cooley may get a contract extension out of all of this. I’ll keep you posted on all of these situations.
