Central Christian College of the Bible (MO) has announced the hiring of Jack Defreitas as the new Athletic Director and Men’s Basketball coach. Jack is no stranger to Central and he will bring back to his alma mater expertise that he has gained over the last 4 years at Asbury University (Wilmore, KY). In his time at Asbury he has been working as an assistant basketball coach, and in the Public Relations Department. His job included recruiting mission sensitive student athletes for multiple sports, scheduling and contract formation for athletic competitions, and developing basketball players and the basketball program as a whole.

The task of moving Central’s athletic program forward, as a part of the Student Development team, is not an easy one. We are striving to create a quality athletic program that continues to promote the mission of the school. We believe Jack will be a key component in making this task become a reality. In his new role with CCCB, Jack will be responsible for all of the duties of the Athletic Director’s position, which will include recruiting student athletes for all four sports; media relations for the athletic department; intramurals and the wellness initiative here on campus.
