Quick hitters…DI assistants on the move:

• Arizona assistant DBO Danny Peters is headed to Ball State where he will become an assistant. Ball State head coach James Whitford is a former Arizona assistant.

• First two hires at Oregon State appear to be Kerry Rupp and Gregg Gottlieb. Rupp has been with new OSU head coach Wayne Tinkle at Montana for the past few years, and Gottlieb was an assistant at Cal under Mike Montgomery (who is a former Montana head coach).

• Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports was the first to report that former Marist head coach Chuck Martin is headed to Indiana as an assistant. He will replace Kenny Johnson who departed for Louisville. The official announcement is expected by the end of the week.

• Holy Cross DBO Alex Popp is headed to the Prep ranks. I have heard that he will become the head coach at Vermont Academy. This past season was his first at Holy Cross, he has also worked as an assistant at Springfield College, and Middlebury College.
