I can confirm through multiple sources that Nichols College head coach Scott Faucher will be named as the new head basketball coach Assumption College.

This past season, Faucher led Nichols to a program record 28 win season, and a DIII Elite Eight appearance. Before being hired at Nichols last summer, he spent four seasons as an assistant at Bowdoin. Faucher also spent time in the NE-10 as an assistant at St. Michaels College.

Faucher beat out two MAAC assistants and a current head coach for the position.

He is the son of former Dartmouth head coach Dave Faucher.

An official announcement is expected as early as today.
