DII Paine College (GA) head coach Chase Campbell has resigned and will become the associate head coach at Benedict College (SC). Last season was Campbell’s first as the head coach at Paine, he had been an assistant at the school since 2013. Prior to joining the staff at Paine, Campbell served as assistant coach at Newberry College (SC).  Earlier this spring, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges decided to remove Paine as a member of the association. Paine is in the process of appealing the decision.

An official announcement on Campbell’s resignation is expected shortly.
