Last week, HoopDirt.com published a group of ten candidates for the open position at DII Lee University (Daily Dirt II – 3/28/16). It now sounds like that group has been whittled down to three (or four depending on who you talk to).  I have heard that the final group is on campus this week and it consists of: Chad Warner – former head coach Shorter University (interview today), Rick Cabrera – associate head coach Tennessee Tech (interview Wednesday), and Bubba Smith – head coach Sewanee (interview Thursday.)  It sounds like a possible fourth candidate – a current DII head coach may also be in the mix, but I have not been able to confirm an on-campus interview.  Multiple sources are also reporting that an announcement will come quickly after interviews wrap-up – perhaps as early as Friday.
