Truman State head coach Chris Foster will be named as the new head coach at McKendree University according to a report by the Belleville News-Democrat. Foster will replace Harry Statham who was not retained after 52-years at the school.
Foster was a standout at Northern Iowa as a player and helped lead the Panthers to the 2003 and 2004 NCAA tournament, while also ranking amongst the program’s top 10 all time in games played, assists and three-pointers. He scored 1,027 career points and was a member of the 2002 Missouri Valley Conference all-Freshman team before graduating in 2005.
In his four seasons at Truman State, Foster has compiled a 83-40 record (20-11 / 2017-18). He served as the associate head coach at TSU before being elevated to head coach back in 2014.
An official announcement is expected tomorrow.
