I have heard from multiple sources that the new head basketball coach at The City College of New York will be DII St. Thomas Aquinas (NY) assistant Sean Clores. He will replace Paul Dail who was released back in March.

Last season was Clores only season at STAC, where he helped guide the Spartans to the NCAA DII East Regional Finals, and a 25-7 record. Before joining Tobin Anderson’s staff, Clores spent three seasons as an assistant in New York City at John Jay College.

Other finalists for this one were longtime DI assistant (and former Canisius head coach) Tom Parrotta, former Southern Vermont head coach Brian Johnson, and Queens College (NY) assistant coach Jason Posser.

An official announcement is expected this week.
