HoopDirt.com can confirm that Hunter College (NY) has hired NYU assistant coach John Pelin as their next head men’s basketball coach.  He replaces Shay Berry who resigned back in May.  Pelin had spent the past eight seasons on Joe Nesci’s staff at NYU – he was promoted to Senior Assistant Coach prior to the 2014-15 season.  The 2005 Gettysburg (PA) graduate also spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Drew University (NJ).  It sounds like the official announcement will be made shortly.
