I have heard that the search for new head basketball coach at Saint Mary’s University (MN) has wrapped up. It sounds like there were three finalists; North Park University (IL) associate head coach Joe Fano, Bethany Lutheran College (MN) assistant Dan DeWitt, and a current head coach in the UMAC. According to multiple sources here, Fano is the leader.

The three candidates are vying to replace Jamison Rusthoven who departed back on July 16th after five seasons at the school.

SMU is also currently searching for an Athletic Director, but the announcement on the new basketball coach is expected as early as this week.
