I can confirm that DIII Sul Ross State University will hire Clif Carroll as the new head basketball coach.  He will replace Greg Wright who resigned back in March.  Carroll spent 2013-15 as the head coach at McMurry University (TX).  He was a student assistant for Bob Knight at Texas Tech, and later served as an assistant at Lamar to Pat Knight.  In his two seasons at McMurry, he compiled an 18-32 record.  More on this when it becomes official.
