Lake was part of the Ferris State squad that captured the DII National Championship this season. He has had two stints on the Bulldogs staff for a total of ten seasons. Lake has also worked for the Grand Rapid Storm Basketball Club and was also the head boys basketball coach at Chippewa Hills High School.

Other finalists for the job were: Zach Malvik, assistant men’s basketball coach at Winona State University (MN); Mark Darnell, assistant men’s basketball coach at California State University, Chico; and Mike DeGeorge, head men’s basketball coach at Rhodes College (TN).

An official announcement is expected shortly.
