DIII DIRT: Worcester State Head Basketball Coach to Resign

I can confirm through multiple sources that Worcester State University (MA) head basketball coach David Lindberg will resign from his coaching position. I have heard that he will remain at the college in another role.

Lindberg has spent the past 24 seasons as the head coach at WSU where he compiled a 281-351 record. The 1991 Worcester State grad has instructed 35 All-MASCAC Players which have included four rookies of the year, 16 first-team players, two conference players of the year and seven 1,000 point scorers, since taking the reins of the program in 1994.

An official announcement is expected as early as this afternoon.
