Sul Ross State University Head Basketball Coach Clif Carroll has assumed the role of interim head women’s basketball coach for the remainder of the 2016-17 season. He takes over for Caleb Henson who resigned back in January.

Carroll is in his second season as the head coach of the men’s team. In his first season with the Lobos Carroll led Sul Ross to its first West Division title since 2005 and fourth overall. He was also named as the ASC West Coach of the Year.

Before coming to Sul Ross, he was the head coach at McMurry University (TX), and had also spent time working as an assistant to Pat Knight at Lamar.

The men’s team is currently 12-12 (8-7), while the women stand at 9-15 (6-9).
